Half Penny Cottage is in Docking, Norfolk. It’s a flint and brick detached cottage with its own garden. Sleeps eight, four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It's been updated but keeps things like the beams and an open fire.
The stairs are typical cottage stairs. Steeper than a modern house.
There's a shop about three quarters of a mile away. A pub and a restaurant are a mile. For a good beach, Brancaster is about four miles drive. The coast path runs along there.
Burnham Market is six miles. That’s where a lot of the nice shops and cafes are. Wells-next-the-Sea is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. The quay there is good. Hunstanton is about twenty five minutes drive if you want a classic seaside town with amusements.
If you like walking or birdwatching, the area is very good for it. The RSPB reserves at Snettisham or Titchwell are close. For a big day out, Sandringham House and Holkham Hall are both within half an hour.
Facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed, and bed linen and towels are included.
