September Cottage is a bungalow just outside Brancaster village. That means everything is on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. It’s detached, so you’ve got your own space, and the garden is enclosed.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well-equipped.
The property is in a quiet residential area. The local shop and a couple of pubs are about a quarter of a mile away. The nearest beach, Brancaster Beach, is about a mile down the road. It’s a sandy beach, good for walking and dipping your toes in. The salt marshes are right there, which is what this bit of coast is known for.
For nature, the RSPB Titchwell Marsh reserve is very close. Boats to Scolt Head Island run from Brancaster Staithe. You can often see seals from boat trips along the coast at Blakeney.
Wells-next-the-Sea is a 15 minute drive. It’s got a nice harbour, shops, and the beach with the famous beach huts. Holkham Hall and beach are about 20 minutes away. Sandringham is about a 25 minute drive inland. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here, their website is useful.
On the facilities side, it’s got a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. Sorry, no pets.
