The Seashells

The Seashells is in Brancaster Staithe, on the North Norfolk coast. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's handy if you don't fancy stairs.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, with decent space.

You're in a quiet street, but it's only a five or ten minute walk to the harbour and the coastal path. The garden is enclosed, with a patio and a barbecue. There's parking for two cars on the drive.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a woodburning stove for the cooler evenings. You've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair.

The local pub is about half a mile away. It does good food. There's a shop about the same distance for basics.

For the coast, Brancaster beach is right there. It's massive when the tide's out. You can walk to the beach at Brancaster Staithe itself, but it's mainly shingle and mudflats, good for birdwatching. For the classic sandy beach with dunes, you drive to Holkham or Wells-next-the-Sea. Wells is about a ten minute drive. The harbour there is nice for crabbing and fish and chips.

The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club is at Brancaster, just down the road. The walking is flat and good along the coast path. You're well placed for the big estates like Holkham Hall and Sandringham, both within twenty minutes by car. Burnham Market is a ten minute drive for its shops and cafes.

Norwich is about an hour away if you want a city day. Kings Lynn is about forty minutes.

No pets allowed, sorry.
