Coastguard's Cottage

Coastguard's Cottage is in Burnham Overy Staithe. It's about a twenty minute walk to the beach from here, or a few minutes in the car.

It sleeps six, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner in the living room and another in the dining room. The kitchen has a range cooker.

The stairs are steep, typical for an old cottage. The garden is enclosed and private.

The local pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. The village shop is a mile and a half in Burnham Market. For a big shop, you'd drive to Fakenham or Hunstanton.

Holme-next-the-Sea and Holkham beach are a short drive east. Wells-next-the-Sea is that way too, with its beach huts and the pine woods. Going west, you have Brancaster and Hunstanton.

You're right on the Norfolk Coast Path here. It's great for walking. Birdwatching on the marshes is good. You can get boat trips out to see the seals from Morston or Blakeney.

For days out, Sandringham is about twenty minutes by car. Holkham Hall is nearby. The National Trust Norfolk Coast page is useful for planning. So is the Norfolk Coast AONB site.

Facilities: it has parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
