Crow's Nest

Crow's Nest is a semi-detached house on the quay at Wells next the Sea. You can see the harbour from the upstairs windows.

It sleeps ten, which is a lot. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. We had it fully refurbished a few years ago, so it's in good nick.

The quay is right across the road. The beach is a walk down the track, past the pine woods. It's a proper sandy beach with those coloured beach huts. The town shops and pubs are about a hundred yards away. You can park two cars on the drive, which is useful as parking can be tight in Wells.

The house has an enclosed garden at the back. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a cinema room in the cellar. It has a projector and speakers. You can use your own streaming accounts on it.

One thing to note: the stairs are steep. They're the original cottage stairs.

We allow up to three well-behaved dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a wood burner for cooler evenings.

From the quay, you can get boat trips out to see the seals. The local narrow-gauge railway goes from the town to the beach. It's nice if you don't fancy the walk.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got the Holkham estate and beach, the market town of Holt, and Blakeney for more seal trips. Further afield, you've got Sandringham, Norwich, and the North Norfolk coast path.
