The Old Candle Shop

The Old Candle Shop is in Little Walsingham. It's a tiny terraced place that used to be an actual candle shop, hence the name. It's a four-star property, which means it's comfortable and well put together.

It sleeps three people in total. There’s a double bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is a twin room, but one of the beds is a cabin bed, so mind your head. The ceiling is low up there. It's fine for kids or agile adults.

You can bring one well-behaved dog.

The garden is out the back. It's a small patio area, but it’s private. Inside, it's open plan downstairs, with a kitchen, living and dining area. It’s compact but works. There’s a dishwasher and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included.

The village has everything you need. There’s a good farm shop and deli right opposite the cottage. There’s also a small general store, a pub, a couple of cafes, and the miniature railway station. All of that is a minute’s walk away.

From here, the coast is about a twenty-minute drive. Wells-next-the-Sea is the main spot, with its beach huts and big beach. Holkham and Brancaster are a similar distance in the other direction. The whole coastline is good for walking, birdwatching, or just being by the sea.

Further afield, within about half an hour, you’ve got Blakeney for seal trips, and Burnham Market for shopping. Norwich is about forty-five minutes if you need a city day.

Parking: there are three public spaces directly opposite the cottage you can use. If they're full, there’s another small car park about sixty yards up the hill.
