Cranberry Cottage
Cranberry Cottage is on the village green in South Creake. It’s a brick and flint place. There’s a pond with ducks opposite.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms. One bathroom and one bedroom are on the ground floor, which is handy. There are two living rooms. One has a wood burner. It’s got a 4 star rating. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they’re steep.
The village itself is quiet. There’s a good pub, The Jolly Farmers, a couple of minutes walk away. For a shop you’ll need to drive to Fakenham, which is about four miles.
The coast is close. Wells-next-the-Sea is six miles. It’s got a long beach, beach huts, and a proper quay. The fish and chip shop there is very good. Holkham beach and estate are about ten minutes further on. Blakeney is about a twenty minute drive for seal trips. Hunstanton, for a more traditional seaside day, is half an hour.
For a day out, the Sandringham estate is about twenty five minutes by car. The National Trust and North Norfolk Coast sites have good information on walks and places to visit.
Facilities: there’s parking, a garden, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding is included. It’s wheelchair accessible to the ground floor bedroom and bathroom. You can bring up to two dogs.
