Kestrel Barn

Kestrel Barn is one of four barns next to our farm in Sculthorpe. It sleeps ten, which is a lot, so it's good for big groups or a couple of families sharing. Five bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. That's the main thing.

It's a converted barn, so you've got the beams and stone floors. We've kept it pretty simple inside. It's open plan, with a wood burner. The garden is walled, so it's enclosed. There's parking right outside.

The village is quiet. There's a shop about a mile away, and a pub that does food just down the road. You can walk or cycle straight from the door.

The coast is about eight miles. Wells-next-the-Sea is the closest proper beach, with sand and those beach huts. Further along, Brancaster is good if you want more space. Burnham Market is about seven miles for a look around the shops.

Fakenham is two miles. It's got the basics: supermarkets, a few places to eat, a bowling alley and a cinema. For a bigger town, King's Lynn is about twenty minutes in the car. Norwich is just under an hour.

If you're here for the nature reserves, there are a few RSPB sites along the coast. Titchwell Marsh is about twenty minutes away.

On site, there's a function hall you can sometimes book for a do, and a games room. We allow up to two dogs. All the bedding and towels are included.

A couple of useful links if you're planning: Visit Norfolk for general ideas, and RSPB reserves for birdwatching spots.
