Pirates Lookout

Pirates Lookout is in Wells next the Sea. It's a detached house right by the harbour. The main talking point is the view from the living room upstairs. You look out over the water, the marshes, and the pine woods. It's very sunny up there.

It sleeps nine people in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which helps with a bigger group. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. The living space is all on the first floor to make the most of the view. The patio doors open onto a Juliet balcony.

Practical things: all the bedrooms have their own TV with Freeview. There are USB charging points in the sockets. The main shower is big and you can pre-set the temperature. The stairs are fine.

You're right in the middle of things. The shops are about a minute's walk away. The local narrow-gauge railway starts almost outside the door and goes down to the beach. The beach is very good, all sand and pine woods. You can get boat trips from the quay to see the seals, or go fishing.

For places to eat and drink, you've got the Albatross barge restaurant on the quay, plus other pubs and cafes in the town. There's a children's playground and a skate park close by.

If you want to explore further, Holkham Hall and beach are a short drive. The Royal Cromer and Sheringham golf courses are along the coast. For birdwatching, Titchwell Marsh RSPB reserve is nearby. Horse riding is available a few miles away.

The house has a garden that's enclosed, which is good for dogs or children. There's parking. It has a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is there. You can bring up to three pets.
