Crown And Anchor
The Crown and Anchor is on the main street in Wells-next-the-Sea. It's a first-floor apartment, quite big and airy. You get a little terrace out the front with chairs, good for a coffee.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not a modern new-build, it's an older property above the shops, so you can hear a bit of street noise during the day. It goes quiet at night.
You're right in the middle of things. Shops are literally a few steps away. The pub is a short walk. The quay and the harbour are about five minutes on foot. To get to the main sandy beach, you've got a mile to walk, or you can drive and use the car park there.
The really good beach is at Holkham, which is about two miles along the coast road. The Holkham Estate is there too if you want to visit the hall or walk in the park. For birdwatching, the RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are a short drive away.
Other places within half an hour: Burnham Market for more shops, Blakeney for seal trips, and the main town of Holt. Norwich is about forty minutes if you need a city.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's no dedicated parking, you use the public pay car parks nearby. Sorry, no pets allowed.
