Pump Cottage is in Brancaster Staithe. It's a detached brick and flint house. It's a proper Norfolk house, the sort you see around here.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. We've got the 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's not huge, but it's a good size for a family. There's a wood burner, which is good in the winter.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour. The marshes and creeks are right there. The beach is about a mile away, it's a big sandy one, one of the best around here. The Jolly Sailors pub is very close. It's popular, so booking for food is a good idea.
It's quiet. You get a real sense of being by the coast. Good for birdwatching right from the house. Lots of walks straight from the door, along the coastal path or inland.
You're in a good spot for the big estates like Holkham and Sandringham. Both are about a twenty minute drive. Burnham Market is ten minutes away. King's Lynn is about half an hour if you need a bigger town.
In terms of what's there: parking for two cars on the gravel drive, a washing machine, TV, Wi-Fi, bedding and towels are all provided. We allow one well-behaved dog.
