Sea Lavender Cottage
Sea Lavender Cottage is in Thornham, Norfolk. It's one of two old farm workers' cottages we renovated in 2022. They're semi-detached but you've got your own entrance and garden. You can book them together if you're a bigger group.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything should be to a high standard. It's clean and comfortable.
The pub is about 50 yards away. It's good. The village shop is 200 yards. The coast path and the salt marshes start about half a mile from the door.
The cottage has a wood burner for cooler nights and a sun deck out the back. There's parking for one car on the drive. We accept up to two well-behaved dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is useful.
For a proper beach, Holkham is about a ten minute drive west. Wells-next-the-Sea is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes. The beach huts there are famous. Hunstanton is about twenty minutes west if you want a traditional seaside town with amusements.
If you like big estates, Sandringham is close by and Holkham Hall is just along the coast. Good walking all around. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair if you need one. There's storage for bikes.
