Sea Lavender Cottage is in Thornham, on the North Norfolk coast. It's one of two semi-detached farm workers' cottages I renovated a couple of years ago. They can be booked together, but you'd have this one to yourselves.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and comfortable. It's not overly fancy, but I've tried to make it a nice place to stay. There's a wood burner for cooler nights and a sun deck out the back.
The village is quiet. The coast path and the beach are about half a mile away. It's more salt marsh and mudflats than sand, which is great for birds. There's a shop a few minutes walk away and a decent pub even closer.
If you drive east along the coast, you get to Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea. The beach at Holkham is huge. Wells has the famous beach huts. There's good walking from both. Going west, Hunstanton has a more traditional seaside feel. It's where you can see the sunset.
The area is good for cycling and walking. Birdwatching is big here. Royal Sandringham Estate and Holkham Hall are both nearby if you want a grand day out.
For facilities, it's got the things you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. It's enclosed so it's fine for dogs, we allow two. There's storage for bikes.
