Ladybird Cottage is in Hunstanton, Norfolk. It's a detached house, which means you've got your own space and a decent garden. The garden is enclosed and south-facing, so you can sit outside.
The layout is unusual. It's an upside-down house. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are all upstairs. This is so you get a view of the sea from the main room. There are patio doors upstairs that open onto a Juliet balcony, so you can get the air in. Downstairs are the two bedrooms and a shower room. It sleeps six, with one double bedroom and another room that has a double sofa bed in it. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, which is pretty standard for a cottage like this.
The house is rated 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-furnished, with stuff like a dishwasher, washing machine, and a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
The beach is about a five minute walk. It's sandy, with dunes. Hunstanton itself is a proper seaside town. There's a Sea Life Centre, boat trips to see the seals in season, and the usual promenade stuff. A few good places to eat are dog-friendly.
For days out, Sandringham Estate is about twenty minutes by car. It's worth a look. The RSPB reserve at Snettisham is close too, especially if you like watching birds. If you drive for half an hour, you can get to Holkham Hall or the old part of King's Lynn.
