Trentham Cottage
Trentham Cottage is in Snettisham village in Norfolk. It's one of a pair, semi-detached. You've got your own garden out the back, it's enclosed and private.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's a listed building, so the ceilings are a bit lower in places and the stairs are typical cottage stairs. Just mind your head.
The village is quiet. You've got a shop about a minute's walk away. The local pub is just a bit further, they do food. The beach is about a mile. It's a shingle beach, very natural. Good for a walk, not so much for building sandcastles. The sunsets are good from there.
If you want a classic seaside day, Hunstanton is about ten minutes' drive up the coast. They have a beach, amusements, and the Sea Life Centre. For a nicer beach, head to Holkham or Wells-next-the-Sea. Wells has a nice harbour and the little railway. You can get boat trips to see the seals from there or from Blakeney.
The area is very good for birdwatching. The RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell are very close. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast here too, so it's all well managed for walking. National Trust Norfolk Coast has details. The Sandringham Estate is nearby if you like that sort of thing.
In the cottage, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. We can take one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them, and a stairgate. Parking is on the drive.
