The Old Gatehouse is on the edge of Heacham village. It's a detached house. Part of it used to be a railway cottage, which is just a fact, not a selling point. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and in good order.
There's off-street parking for three cars, and an electric gate. Inside, there are two sitting rooms and a sunroom. Outside, there's a decked area with seating and a bar. The stairs are open-tread and steep, in places.
Heacham beach is about a mile away. It's sandy. We leave beach towels for you. The local pub is a five-minute walk. For a bigger town, Hunstanton is two miles up the coast. It has a sea life centre, a leisure pool, and traditional seaside things.
If you want to explore, the RSPB reserve at Titchwell Marsh is about a twenty-minute drive. Sandringham Estate is about fifteen minutes. For a longer trip, the quay at Blakeney or the city of Norwich are both within a forty-five minute drive.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible to the ground floor. We accept up to two dogs. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
