The Old Gatehouse

The Old Gatehouse is in Heacham on the Norfolk coast. It's a detached house. Sleeps eight, four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating so it's well kitted out and in good order.

The house is part old railway cottage, which might interest you if you like that sort of thing. There's off-street parking for three cars, and an electric gate.

Inside, there's two sitting rooms and a sunroom. The stairs have a stairgate fitted. Outside there's a decked area with seating and a bar. The garden is yours. It's got a BBQ.

It's about a mile to Heacham beach. It's sandy and good for walks. We provide beach towels. There's a local pub within walking distance.

Hunstanton is a few minutes' drive up the coast. It's a traditional seaside town with a beach, amusements, and a Sea Life Centre. There's a pitch and putt, a swimming pool, and a gym there too.

For golf, there's Heacham Golf Club and Old Hunstanton Golf Club nearby. The RSPB Tichwell Marsh reserve is a short drive away for birdwatching. Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney are good for crabbing and photos. Boat trips sometimes run from Hunstanton to see the seals.

Further afield, within about half an hour, you've got Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, and the historic parts of King's Lynn. Norwich is about an hour's drive.

Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. We allow up to two pets. There's a highchair available.
