Chestney House
Chestney House is on the high street in Hunstanton. It's above a shop, so you go up some stairs from the street to get in. It's a flat, basically. It was our family home for years, which is why it feels lived in. The building itself is old, one of the first here.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can bring one dog. We leave a cot and a highchair there if you need them.
The best thing is the location. You can park the car on site and not use it again. The beach is a few minutes' walk away. The high street shops, pubs, and restaurants are right outside. Some of the rooms look out to sea.
If you do drive, Wells-next-the-Sea is about half an hour. It's got a great beach with the famous beach huts. Old Hunstanton has a nicer beach and the cliffs are worth seeing.
For history, you've got the old port in King's Lynn, about 20 minutes away. Holkham Hall and Sandringham Estate are both within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels. There's on site parking for one car. If you have more, there's a public car park just along the road.
