Sea Holly Cottage is in Thornham, Norfolk. This end of Norfolk is salt marshes and big skies, not sandy beaches most of the time. It's quiet.
It's one of two cottages together, renovated a couple of years ago. They're old farm workers' places, so the layout is sensible, not huge. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard. Everything is clean and new.
There's a wood burner for winter and a sun deck out the back. The garden is enclosed. Parking right there.
The local pub is about 50 yards away. It's good, does food. The village shop is a short walk. The sea is about half a mile, but it's the marsh creek you hit first. For a proper sandy beach, you drive. Brancaster or Holkham are about ten minutes away.
If you want to explore, Holkham Hall is close by. So is the National Trust Brancaster Estate. Wells-next-the-Sea, with the beach huts, is about a 20-minute drive. Hunstanton, with the cliffs and a more traditional seaside feel, is about 15 minutes the other way. Sandringham is roughly 20 minutes inland.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's bike storage if you need it.
