The Herdwick Hideaway is a shepherd's hut in the grounds of Godwick Hall. It’s for two people and one dog. There’s a patio with a firepit outside, and it's quiet and private.
The hut has one room with a double bed, a small kitchen area with a mini-fridge and microwave, and a shower and toilet. It’s all in one space. There’s a wood burner for heat. It’s well insulated and has electrics, so it’s comfortable, but it's still a hut.
You can order a breakfast hamper or a bottle of fizz to be left for you when you book. There’s a barbecue you can use. Bring your own charcoal.
The location is rural. It’s fields and a big sky. The coast at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham is about 20 minutes’ drive. Norwich is half an hour away. King’s Lynn is 17 miles for trains.
There are two other huts on the same site, the Norfolk Horn and the Ryeland. You can book them together if you’re coming with more people.
