Delphinium Cottage

Delphinium Cottage is on the Quayside in Blakeney. It's part of a little terrace, on the ground floor. The front door opens almost straight onto the lane, which leads to the harbour.

It's a simple cottage. Two bedrooms, sleeps four. One bathroom. You can bring one dog. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable but not architect-designed.

The garden is out the back through the kitchen. It's small, enclosed, gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a table and chairs.

Inside, there's an open plan kitchen and living area. It's got a woodburning stove which is nice on cooler evenings. You've got WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. The stairs are fairly typical for a cottage.

Location is the main thing. You're a two-minute walk from the quay. The village shop is about the same distance, and a pub is even closer. It's good for crabbing or just watching the boats.

For a proper beach, you drive. Wells-next-the-Sea is about ten minutes west. Big sandy beach with the famous beach huts. Holkham is a bit further and the beach is massive. Going east, Sheringham and Cromer are maybe twenty-five minutes.

If you like walking, the Norfolk Coast Path is right there. You can walk east to Cley or west to Morston easily. Birdwatchers head to Cley Marshes.
