Poppies is a terrace house on the high street in Blakeney. It's just along from the village shop and about a five minute walk from the quay.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps with a full house. One bathroom is en suite. The stairs are fairly steep, which is normal for these older houses.
The back garden is small and enclosed. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's parking for one car on the road directly outside, which is first come first served.
Inside, it's got what you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a travel cot and highchair if you let us know.
The village is nice for a wander. The pub does decent food. The shop is useful for basics. Most people come here for the coast. You can walk out along the marshes from the quay. For a longer walk, the coast path is right there.
The Blakeney Point boat trips are good if you want to see the seals. It's a proper colony out there. Further along the coast, you've got Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea within about twenty minutes drive. Sheringham and Cromer are also easy to get to.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Norfolk Coast and North Norfolk Official Site.
No pets, I'm afraid.
