The Duchy
The Duchy is part of a bigger house called Auchenhay House, at the end of a long driveway. It's just outside Twynholm. You get your own front door and the place to yourselves.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is well looked after. The lounge has a wood burner that works well.
There's a patio with a hot tub. You can see the sea from there, over the fields. There's also a garden and a barbecue.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
It's a rural spot but Kirkcudbright is only about ten minutes by car. It's a harbour town with a nice high street. They call it the artists' town. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away for walking. There are several beaches within a twenty minute drive.
