Sliver Birch

The Sliver Birch is one of four lodges on our farm. It's a working arable farm, quiet most of the year. The lodge is detached, so you've got your own space.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's modern and comfortable. Everything is on one level, which is handy.

The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over Wigtown Bay. The living room wall is mostly glass, so you see it from inside. There's a patio outside with the same view.

The kitchen is open plan with the living area. It's got a dishwasher and washing machine. Towels and bedding are included. There's parking right outside, and you can plug in an electric car if you need to.

You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed.

Gatehouse of Fleet is under two miles away. It's a small town. There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat. The coast is close. Mossyard and Carrick beaches are a few minutes' drive. They're sandy, good for a walk.

If you like walking or cycling, you're near the Galloway Forest Park and the 7Stanes trails. Kirroughtree Forest is a key spot. The area is a National Scenic Area. A bit further on, Kirkcudbright is worth a visit, it's known for artists.
