No 7
No 7 is a second-floor flat in Gatehouse of Fleet. It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. The place was all redone in 2020, so everything is modern and works properly.
It's on the main street, but it's set back a bit so it's quiet. You get the key from a lockbox. The stairs up to the flat are a standard staircase, not too steep. There's a small communal garden out the back with a bench for guests.
The village shop is about twenty yards away, which is useful. There are a couple of pubs and places to eat within a few minutes' walk. The closest beach, Mossyard, is about a ten-minute drive.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. It's a Dark Sky Park, so the stars are very good on a clear night. Kirroughtree, one of the 7stanes mountain biking centres, is just outside the village. Threave Garden is about a twenty-minute drive.
In the flat, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can have a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
It's a good spot for the coast and the hills. Kirkcudbright is about fifteen minutes by car if you want more shops or a look around the harbour.
