Callander's High Street
Callander's High Street is on the main road in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's a terraced cottage, pretty standard from the outside. The back garden is yours though, it's fenced in and quite private.
Inside it's been renovated. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. They've both got their own bathrooms ensuite, and there's a third shower room downstairs too. It's got a 4 star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a woodburning stove in the living room.
The town is quiet. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about fifty yards away. The River Fleet runs through, and you can start a walk right from the front door.
The coast is about five miles off. For a Dark Sky experience, the Galloway Forest Park is nearby. They've got a red kite feeding station and deer. Castle Douglas, the 'food town', is about a twenty minute drive. Kirkcudbright, the 'artists town', is about the same. They have festivals through the year.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine. There's a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
