Granary
This is the Granary, in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's a terrace house for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. The decoration is mostly soft greys, with some green.
You've got a woodburning stove in the living room. The garden is out the back. It's a good spot for stargazing, as the area is known for dark skies. You can bring up to two dogs.
The house is on a quiet street. There's a shop about 100 yards away. A pub and a restaurant are even closer, about 20 yards. They're both handy.
Gatehouse itself is a quiet village. There's a visitor centre in the old mill. Cardoness Castle is just outside the village. The coast is a few minutes' drive. Mossyard and Carrick beaches are good for a walk.
If you're here for outdoors stuff, it's a good base. The Galloway Forest Park is nearby for walking. For mountain biking, the Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie trail centres are within half an hour. Kirroughtree has some serious trails.
Kirkcudbright is about a 15-minute drive. It's an artists' town with a nice harbour. Threave Garden is also about 15 minutes away if you like that sort of thing.
In the house, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. All bedding and towels are included.
