Drumwall - Annabelle's Den
This is Annabelle’s Den, or Drumwall as the whole place is called. It's on our farm just outside Gatehouse of Fleet. It’s a lodge, so it’s all on one level. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one shower room.
It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s well finished. Underfloor heating, decent shower, good WiFi. There’s a hot tub on the deck outside. You can see the fields from it.
The kitchen’s open plan with the living area. It has what you’d need. There’s a TV and the bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
The town is about a mile down the road. There’s a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and places to eat. The coast is about fifteen minutes drive. Some good beaches there, like Mossyard.
If you walk, the Galloway Forest Park is close. It’s a Dark Sky Park. For mountain biking, there are several of the 7Stanes trail centres within half an hour. Kirkcudbright is a short drive, maybe ten minutes. It’s got a nice harbour and art galleries. Cardoness Castle is just outside Gatehouse.
You’re on a working farm. You’ll see sheep and probably our dogs. Sometimes you’ll hear a tractor.
