Drumwall - Sea Glass

This is Drumwall - Sea Glass. It's one of the newer lodges here, built in 2022. It's detached and sits in a meadow, so you get a clear view out over Fleet Bay.

It sleeps four, two bedrooms, and both rooms have an ensuite bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. The main thing is the glass doors and windows. They run floor to ceiling along the front, so the place is very light and you get the full view.

There's a covered veranda. You can sit out there regardless of the weather, which is useful here. The sunset over the bay is good from there.

The town, Gatehouse of Fleet, is about a mile away. It's a proper little town with a few places to eat and a shop. There's Cardoness Castle right there, and the Mill on the Fleet is worth a look. Good walks start from the town itself.

For beaches, you're a few minutes in the car. The area is good for walking, both coastal paths and forest trails. If you're into cycling, the Galloway Forest Park and the 7 Stanes trails are close by. Kirkcudbright is about a fifteen minute drive. It's an artist's town, has a nice harbour, and they put on events in the summer.

Facilities: it's got the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. The lodge is all on one level.
