The Dairy
The Dairy is a converted barn on our farm. It's one of three cottages here, all done up in 2020. It's detached, so you have your own space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable, things are good quality. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner in the living room.
You're right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. It's quiet. You can walk straight out into our 65 acres. The land is part of a working farm, so you'll see sheep.
The nearest proper town is Gatehouse of Fleet, about six miles away. It's got shops, a pharmacy, and places to eat. The coast is about ten miles.
You're well placed for getting out. The forest park is on your doorstep for walking or cycling. There's mountain biking at Kirroughtree, which is part of the 7stanes. Kirkcudbright, the artists' town, is about a 25 minute drive. For a bigger day out, you can get to Dumfries in under an hour.
What's here: parking right outside, a garden area with furniture, a dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs.
