The Dairy Laurieston

The Dairy is one of three cottages here at Grobdale. It's a converted farm building, done up in 2020. It's detached, so it's just you.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms. It's got the 5 Star rating, which basically means it's very well finished and everything's new. Underfloor heating, wood burner, that sort of thing.

You've got 65 acres of the farm to walk around. It's very quiet. The setting is the main thing, really. You're right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park.

Gatehouse of Fleet is the nearest town, about six miles. It's got a couple of shops, a pharmacy, and some places to eat. Decent beaches like Mossyard are about a 15 minute drive from there.

Kirkcudbright is worth a trip, maybe 25 minutes by car. It's an artist's town with a nice harbour. If you're here in the summer, they have events.

For things to do: the forest park is on your doorstep for walking or cycling. There's fishing nearby, and a few golf courses within a half hour drive. The coast is close for beaches or coastal paths.

Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring two dogs.
