Blackloch
Blackloch is a farmhouse just outside Gatehouse of Fleet. It's detached, on a quiet lane. The main thing is the views. You get them from every room, over fields and hills.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It was all redone in 2022 so it's fresh and clean. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Downstairs there's a big living room with a wood burner. There's a separate sun room at the front if you want a quieter spot. The kitchen is modern and has what you need. The utility room is large, good for boots and coats, and it has a pool table in it.
The town is about half a mile away. You can walk in. There are a couple of places to eat. Cardoness Castle is at the entrance to the town. The beach is about three and a half miles.
It's a good spot for getting out. You're on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. There are forest trails and coastal walks. If you cycle, the quiet lanes are good, and the 7Stanes mountain bike trails are in the forest park.
Facilities: enclosed garden, parking, wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair. You can bring one dog.
