3 Old Posting Stables is in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's a mid-terrace cottage in a quiet courtyard. The layout is upside down, so the two bedrooms are on the ground floor. They're carpeted and the beds are comfortable.
Upstairs is the open plan living area. It's bright because of the big windows and doors. There's a kitchen, a dining space, and a sitting area. It's a good space to be in.
The cottage has a 5 Star rating. It's very clean and well looked after. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. There's a small private patio area. Parking is right there.
Everything you need is included: bedding, towels, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV.
The location is straightforward. A shop is a couple of minutes' walk. A pub and a restaurant are literally next door, about twenty yards away. The coast and beaches like Cardoness and Mossyard are a short drive, maybe ten minutes.
Gatehouse itself is a quiet town. The Fleet Visitor Centre has local history. Cardoness Castle is at the town entrance. The views from the top are worth the climb.
Within half an hour you can get to Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre, Threave Garden which is National Trust for Scotland, and some good forest walks. Wigtown, Scotland's book town, is about twenty minutes away.
No pets, sorry. The place is set up for Christmas if you're booking then.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust for Scotland site is useful for gardens and properties. For the local area, Visit Dumfries & Galloway has information.
