Knocktinkle is a cottage in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's in a Georgian building that used to be a schoolhouse. It's on a quiet street. The village is small and handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. It's a terraced cottage so you have neighbours, but it's quiet. The stairs are normal.
The place is set up for a relaxed stay. There's a woodburning stove, a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and a bluetooth speaker. We've left some books and games. It's dog friendly, you can bring two.
There's a pub and a restaurant about twenty yards away. The shop is a hundred yards. You're right on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park if you like walking or cycling. The Galloway Forest Park is a Dark Sky Park, so the stars are good on a clear night.
The coast is a few minutes' drive. Mossyard and Carrick beaches are good. Kirkcudbright is about a fifteen minute drive, it's an old fishing town with galleries. For a big day out, there's mountain biking at the 7Stanes trails in Kirroughtree or Dalbeattie Forest.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a patio garden and a BBQ. Parking is on site.
