Little Boreland
Little Boreland is near Gatehouse of Fleet. It's an old farmhouse from the late 1700s, so it's a listed building.
It sleeps five, in five bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which feels about right for a place this age and size. It's comfortable and lived-in, not pristine.
The main thing is the setting. It's on a hillside. You get the house and the garden and a bit of woodland. You can walk straight out the door onto paths.
Gatehouse of Fleet is within walking distance, maybe half a mile. There are shops, a couple of cafes and places to eat there. There's a local pub too.
The coast is about ten minutes away by car. Sandy beaches, rocky bits, the usual for here. Inland, it's good walking country. The Galloway Forest Park is nearby if you want proper dark skies. There's cycling there too.
If you're driving, Kirkcudbright is about twenty minutes. They call it the artists' town. Castle Douglas is a bit further, maybe half an hour. That's where the good food shops are.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a TV, WiFi, and parking for your car. The garden has a patio and a barbecue.
We include all bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
