Buckle House
Buckle House is in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's a terraced house, right on the high street. It used to be a shoe shop, hence the name.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works. There's a living room at the front and a smaller snug. The kitchen looks out over the garden.
The garden is enclosed. It's safe for dogs. There's a gate at the bottom that leads straight into Garries Park, and from there you can walk into Cally Woods. There's a bike shed too.
You've got a shop about 100 yards away and a pub about 300 yards. Both are handy. The Mill on the Fleet is a good visitor centre in town, and Cardoness Castle is just up the road.
The coast is about five miles. Mossyard and Carrick beaches are good. They're sandy and usually quiet.
If you like walking or cycling, you're in a good spot. The Galloway Forest Park is close. It's a Dark Sky Park, so good for stars. For mountain biking, the 7Stanes trails at Kirroughtree Forest are about a 15-minute drive. Kirkcudbright is about 20 minutes away. It's got a nice harbour and they have a lot of arts events.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
