This is Buckle House. It's in Gatehouse of Fleet, a small town. It's terraced, and used to be a shoe shop. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, two bathrooms.
The place is straightforward. You get a living room at the front, then a snug, then a kitchen-dining room that looks out over the garden. It's warm and does the job.
The garden is enclosed. At the bottom, a gate goes straight into Garries Park. From there you can walk into Cally Woods. There's a bike shed too.
There's a shop about 100 yards away and a pub about 300 yards. Both are fine.
For the area, you've got good beaches a few minutes' drive away, like Mossyard and Carrick. The Galloway Forest Park is close. That's the Dark Sky Park. For mountain biking, the 7Stanes trails at Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie are nearby.
Kirkcudbright is a short drive. They call it the artists' town. It's got a nice harbour and high street.
Facilities: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can bring two dogs. There's a BBQ and the garden is enclosed.
