Horsepark Cottage is in Sandgreen, which is along the coast here in Dumfriesshire. It's a detached house, so you're on your own.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-finished.
The place is rural, but you can walk to the beach at Carrick in about ten minutes. It's a good beach for a stroll. The garden is properly enclosed if you need that. There's a wood burner in the living room for chilly evenings, and a conservatory that looks out over the garden. The internet is good, if you need to check something or work.
Gatehouse of Fleet is the nearest town, about three miles away. It's got pubs, restaurants, a shop, and things like the Mill on the Fleet visitor centre. Kirkcudbright is a bit further, maybe a fifteen-minute drive. It's got a nice harbour and is worth a visit.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. The Galloway Forest Park is close by if you want proper hills and dark skies. For cycling, you're central to a lot of the 7Stanes trails. The National Trust for Scotland's Threave Gardens are nearby if you like that sort of thing. The coast path is right there for walking.
Inside, it's got the things you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. No pets, sorry.
