Park Cottage
Park Cottage is here in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's on a big estate, so you have 600 acres of woods to walk in right from the door.
It sleeps twelve. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's semi-detached but you've got your own garden.
It's on the grounds of the Cally Palace Hotel. You get to use their facilities. That means the indoor pool, the gym, the putting green, and the croquet lawn. You can also get a discount at their golf course.
Gatehouse of Fleet itself is walkable. There's a pub and restaurant about 500 yards away. The town has shops and cafes. There's a place called the Mill on the Fleet with local history exhibits.
The coast is about three miles off. Sandy beaches and rocky bits. If you drive for half an hour, you can get to Kirkcudbright. It's known for artists. Castle Douglas is about the same distance, they call it Scotland's food town.
For walking or cycling, the Galloway Forest Park is close by. It's good for wildlife. Cardoness Castle and the Cally Gardens are nearby if you like that sort of thing. There's a chocolate place called The Cocoabean Company about six miles away, which kids tend to like.
As for the cottage itself: it has a games room, a dishwasher, a washing machine. Wi-Fi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. We can provide a cot and a highchair.
