Middle Byre
Middle Byre is on our working farm in Girthon. It used to be the cattle shed, which is what a byre is. We've converted it. It's on its own, so you get privacy.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. You can bring one dog. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The stairs are wooden and a bit noisy. It's an old building. The kitchen is big, and there's a good-sized living room with views over the valley. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or a dog. You can store bikes in the shed.
You're about two miles from the nearest shop and pub, in Anwoth. Gatehouse of Fleet is a few minutes' drive. It's a nice little town with places to eat. The coast is about a mile and a half away. Good for walks.
If you like cycling, you can get straight onto some routes from the farm. There's the 7Stanes trails if that's your thing. For a day out, you've got Cream o' Galloway for ice cream, or Laggan Outdoors for activities. Fishing is popular around the lochs.
It has the usual things: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
