Auchengool House

The house is right in the town. You can walk to everything. The garden is private, and it's got a hot tub. There are some old castle ruins right at the back of the garden, which is a different view.

For walking, you can get straight onto coastal paths or into forests from the town. The Galloway Forest Park is about a twenty-minute drive. That's a Dark Sky Park, so good for stargazing if it's clear. The Threave Garden is also nearby.

Within half an hour's drive you can be at the beach, like Brighouse Bay. There's sailing and fishing locally. For cycling, the area is known for the 7stanes mountain bike trails.

Inside, the house has been done up to a high standard. There's a wood burner in the living room, a dining room, and a kitchen with a table. The main bathroom has a roll-top bath.
