Robins Nest

Robins Nest is a holiday cottage near Kirkcudbright in Dumfriesshire. It's part of a small group of three called High Kirkland Cottages. It's a rural spot, set back from the road, looking out over fields towards the Galloway Hills.

It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is a ground floor wet room, which might be useful. It has a 4 Star rating.

The living room has a large picture window with that view of the hills. There's a wood burning stove. The dining table is big, good for a family meal. It's a spacious place, decent for a family get-together.

The town of Kirkcudbright is about a mile away. You can walk in. It's known as an artist's town, so there are a lot of galleries. There's a harbour, shops, cafes, and restaurants. MacLellan's Castle is in the town, it's a ruined castle you can visit.

They have events in the summer, like a Tattoo. The local pub is about a mile away.

In terms of facilities, it has most things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger. They can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.

For the coast, you're about seven miles from places like Brighouse Bay. For wider planning, the National Trust for Scotland's Galloway Forest Park page is useful, and so is the Visit Scotland South West site.
