The Byre
The Byre is my cottage in Kirkcudbright. It's one of three on the farm here, mine and two others. It's detached, so it's just you.
It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which basically means it's warm and everything works. It's wheelchair friendly, which is quite rare round here.
You're up on the farm land so it's quiet. The view from the back is over fields towards the Galloway Hills. That's the main thing. The birds are noisy, but that's about it.
You can walk into Kirkcudbright town. It takes about twenty minutes. There's a harbour, some shops, and a few places to eat. There's a pub about a mile away. The town’s known for artists, so there are a few galleries. McLellan's Castle is right in the middle of it.
If you drive, you've got the coast. The Galloway Forest Park is about thirty minutes for walks. Dumfries is forty minutes. It's good if you want a bigger supermarket or a cinema.
For facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. There's also an electric vehicle charger. You can bring one dog. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair in the cupboard if you need them.
