Swallows
It's called Swallows. It's in Borgue, just south of Kirkcudbright in Dumfriesshire.
It's a barn conversion, sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well done and comfortable.
The main room is open plan. Ceilings are high, which is nice. There's a picture window and doors that lead out to a conservatory. The conservatory looks onto your own enclosed garden. The garden looks out over fields and the owner's big garden next door.
It's very quiet here. The lane doesn't get much traffic. The skies are dark at night, it's in the Galloway Dark Sky Park.
You're about two miles from a pub. The nearest shop is five miles away in Kirkcudbright. Kirkcudbright's the main town, it's on the river, has a harbour. They call it the artists' town.
The coast is close. Several beaches are within a ten or fifteen minute drive. There's good walking from the door, and mountain biking at the 7stanes trail in Dalbeattie Forest is about a 20 minute drive.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
