Sinclair's
This is Sinclair's in Gatehouse of Fleet. It's a terraced house right in the middle of the town.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. One of the bedrooms is a twin up in the attic. The staircase up to it is narrow and steep, just so you know.
Downstairs there are two sitting rooms, which is handy if people want to do different things. One's got a wood burner. The kitchen doors open out to the garden.
The town has a couple of pubs that do food, and shops for basics. It's a good spot. The coast is about ten minutes drive away. There's a beach at Mossyard, and Cardoness Castle is just outside town. Historic Environment Scotland has the details for the castle.
You're well placed for the Galloway Forest Park, which is a Dark Sky Park. For mountain biking, the 7Stanes trails at Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie are within half an hour. The artist's town, Kirkcudbright, is about a twenty minute drive.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, bedding and towels are provided. The garden is yours to use. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
