Seascape

This is Seascape. It's one of four lodges on our farm, just outside Gatehouse of Fleet. The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over Wigtown Bay to the sea. You get it from the big windows in the living room and from the patio.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is on one level, which makes it straightforward. The entrance and the patio are wheelchair accessible.

The lodge is detached and you have your own enclosed patio area. It's open plan inside. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside, and you can store bikes.

You're on a working farm, so you'll see machinery around sometimes. The town is about a mile and three quarters away. It's a small place with a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a good visitor centre at the Mill on the Fleet.

Good beaches like Mossyard and Carrick are five or ten minutes' drive. For walking, you've got the Galloway Hills and forest trails nearby. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive. It's a Dark Sky Park, so the stars are excellent on a clear night.

Kirroughtree Forest, for mountain biking, is close. The 7Stanes trails are all around this area if that's your thing. For a day out, Kirkcudbright is worth a visit. It's about twenty minutes by car. They've got a nice harbour and it's known for artists.

Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
