Bengali
This place is called Bengali. It's a bungalow in Ringford, Dumfriesshire. It's detached and sits on its own.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The whole place is on one level, so it's good for anyone who struggles with stairs. The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair and there's a wet room shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Out the back there's a patio and a garden for you to use. You can park right next to the house.
Inside, there's a separate games room with a full-sized pool table. The top comes off so you can use it for table tennis. The main living room has a woodburning stove for cooler nights.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility bit. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair out if you need them.
You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed but I'd check your dog at the gate first, as it's not totally escape-proof.
Ringford itself is tiny. For a shop, a pub, or a meal out, you need to go about four miles. Castle Douglas is the nearest proper town and has a lot of good food shops. Kirkcudbright is lovely, full of artists' galleries. The coast at Sandyhills Bay is about fifteen minutes by car.
You're right in the middle of the Galloway countryside for walking and cycling. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour's drive for darker skies and bigger hills. For local history, Threave Garden is National Trust for Scotland and isn't far.
