The Croft Laurieston

The Croft is one of three cottages in a courtyard here at Grobdale. We converted the old farm buildings a few years ago. It's for two people.

It's all on one floor. One bedroom, one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything's new and well finished. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner for cooler nights. The kitchen has a dishwasher. You can park right outside.

The cottage looks out over our land. We've got about 65 acres you're welcome to walk around. It's quiet. You'll see our sheep, but the cottages have their own separate space.

We're on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. It's very dark here at night, good for stars. The town is Gatehouse of Fleet, about six miles away. It has a couple of shops, a pharmacy, and some places to eat. The nearest pub is there too.

The coast is about ten miles. There are good beaches like Mossyard and Cardoness. Kirkcudbright is worth a visit, it's about a 20 minute drive. They call it the artists' town. It's got a nice harbour and events in the summer.

If you're bringing dogs, that's fine. We allow up to two. Just please keep them on a lead around the livestock.
