Alder Lodge is a detached house in Sedgeford, a quiet village a few miles inland from the North Norfolk coast. It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not a show home. The rooms are a good size. The kitchen is big enough for a few people to be in there without getting in each other's way. There's a separate utility room with a washing machine.
Downstairs, there's a sitting room with an open fire, a dining room that seats eight, and a conservatory. The garden is enclosed, mostly lawn with a patio. There's an outside tap. You can bring two dogs.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. There's a double bedroom, a twin bedroom where the beds can be linked together, and a fourth bedroom with an adult-sized bunk bed. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower.
The garage is useful. It's got some bikes you can use, an air hockey table, table tennis, and extra garden furniture stored in there.
In the village, there's a pub. For beaches, Brancaster and Old Hunstanton are about a ten minute drive. The coast path is close by if you like walking. The National Trust Norfolk Coast page has good information on the area.
If you want to go further, the RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are nearby for birdwatching. Sandringham Estate is about a twenty minute drive. Wells-next-the-Sea and Burnham Market, with their shops and harbours, are within half an hour.
Facilities included: all bedding and towels, a cot, highchair, stairgate, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, and parking on site.
