Lavender Barn
This is Lavender Barn in Heacham. It's a single storey barn conversion, so everything's on the ground floor. You get your own bit of garden all the way around it, mostly patio with some gravel.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One's an ensuite with a shower, the other has a bath and a separate shower. The second bedroom has two single beds that can be clipped together to make a double if you prefer.
The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, dining area and sitting area all together. The ceiling is vaulted with wooden beams. There's underfloor heating.
The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard. It's been done up to be comfortable and straightforward.
Heacham's a village on the Norfolk coast. The beach is about a ten minute walk. It's sand and shingle. The sunsets over the sea from there are good. There's a shop and a couple of pubs in the village. Heacham Manor Golf Club is just down the road if that's your thing.
Hunstanton is a couple of miles up the coast. That's the proper seaside town with a promenade, more shops, and a bigger sandy beach. Brancaster and Holkham beaches are within half an hour's drive. So is the coastal path for walking.
Facilities: there's parking for two cars, a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. The garden has outdoor furniture and a BBQ. It's enclosed. Dogs are welcome, up to four. Bedding and towels are included.
