Lavender Cottage is on a quiet lane in Heacham. It's a proper flint cottage, so the walls are thick. You can't park right outside, but there's a spot for one car just a few doors down.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs, two bathrooms. One's got a big freestanding bath. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase. They're open on one side and a bit steep, so you need to be careful on them.
The kitchen has what you need. Dishwasher, washing machine. There's a wood burner in the living room. The garden is a small, walled courtyard. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You can walk to the beach from here. It's about a mile to Heacham South beach, which is sandy. The coast path runs along it.
In terms of things to do, Sandringham House is about ten minutes away by car. The estate is good for walking. National Trust Norfolk Coast has information on the beaches and Holme next the Sea. Visit Norfolk is the main tourist site. If you like birds, Snettisham RSPB reserve is a fifteen minute drive. You need to check the tide times for the big spectacles.
Heacham itself has shops and takeaways. There are a couple of pubs. One of them is about a three minute walk from the cottage.
Facilities: the listing says it's a 4 Star property. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Well-behaved dogs are allowed, one only.
