Shellhill Cottage
Shellhill Cottage is in Girthon, near Gatehouse of Fleet. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one level. The garden is enclosed and quite big.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom, it’s a wet room. The 4 Star rating means it's comfortable and well kept. Because it's all ground floor, there are no stairs to worry about.
The kitchen is a good size. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside.
Gatehouse of Fleet is about a five minute drive. It's a small town with a few shops, a cafe, and a couple of places to eat. The Mill on the Fleet is there if you're interested in local history.
The coast is about 15 minutes away by car. The Solway Coast has some good beaches for walking. For a bigger forest walk or if you're into stargazing, Galloway Forest Park is maybe half an hour away. There's fishing nearby if you have a licence.
