High Tide
High Tide is a new lodge built in 2023 on our farm. It's detached, so you're on your own. The main thing is the view over Fleet Bay. There are big doors everywhere so you get the full effect, especially when the sun sets.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both on the ground floor, and one wet room bathroom, also on the ground floor. It's quiet, being on the farm, but you're only a mile from Gatehouse of Fleet. You can get supplies and a pint there easily.
The place is built to a high standard. The beds are very comfortable. It's open plan inside, with a kitchen, dining and sitting area all in one room looking out at the bay. Outside there's a large deck.
For beaches, Cardoness and Mossyard are a few miles away and are very good. There are plenty of forest and coastal walks from the door. For cycling, the 7Stanes trails at Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie are close. Kirkcudbright, which is an artist's town with a nice harbour, is about a 20 minute drive.
The lodge has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
