Oakmere Apartment
Oakmere Apartment is a ground floor place in Chinley. It's an apartment, not a house, but it's got its own front door and a little patio area out the back.
It sleeps five. There are two proper bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a double. The sofa in the living area pulls out into a single bed for the fifth person. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car right outside, and there's a public electric vehicle charger in the car park you can use.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. You've got a washing machine, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Chinley is a small village. You can walk to a couple of pubs, a shop, and a takeaway. The walking from the door is really good. You can head up through Buxworth and Brownside, or up to Cracken Edge. The view from the top of Eccles Pike is worth the climb.
For a bigger day out, the Peak District is right there. Peak District National Park has all the information. You can be in Hayfield for the start of the Kinder Scout walks in about ten minutes by car. Castleton, with all the caves, is about twenty minutes away.
The train station is close. You can get a direct train to Manchester in about 45 minutes, which is useful if you fancy a city day without the drive.
